A little info on what they are for those of you who don’t know what they are. Brojanica is the Serbian word for ‘prayer rope’. (Greek-κομποσκοίνι, Russian- Chotki) Normally worn by Orthodox Christians, the bracelet is worn on the left hand and the 33 knots symbolize the age of Jesus when he died. A brojanica is supposed to be a praying tool similar to the rosary. You use each knot to keep track of where you are in your prayer.
